Postage stamps Tanzania

Tanzania is a country located on the eastern coast of central Africa. It was formed by the merger of two originally independent states: Tanganyika and Zanzibar. The first independent postage stamps of Tanganyika were issued in 1922 and depicted a giraffe. The first issues of Zanzibar depicted sailing ships, Arabic architecture, and sultans.
