Postage stamps of Iceland

Iceland is an island nation near Greenland considered part of Europe. Iceland was a Danish dominion since the Viking era until 1944, when it was declared a republic and the personal union with Denmark was dissolved. The first postage stamps resembled the Danish ones. Since 1938, their various stamps have depicted landscapes such as geysers and glaciers.
