Postage stamps Hungary

Hungary is a landlocked country in the Pannonian Basin in Central Europe. The first postage stamps depicted the Austro-Hungarian ruler Franz Joseph I. During the communist era, Hungary became notoriously known for a large number of stamps with various themes. From 1949 to 1990, the stamps only had the inscription Magyar posta, since then Magyarország (Hungary) has been used.
