Postage stamps Egypt

Egypt is a North African tourist-attractive coastal country by the Mediterranean and Red Seas. Egypt introduced postage stamps in 1866. Their design was oriental with the most common theme being the Great Pyramid of Giza. Modern stamps focus on the art and architecture of the pharaohs in contrast with modern buildings.
