The inscription "GEORG HENRIK VON WRIGHT" is placed in a semicircle from left to right, and the year of issue "2016" is located at the top right. At the top left is the designation of the issuing country "FI" and the mint mark. The outer ring of the coin depicts twelve stars of the European Union flag.
