Jozef Dekret Matejovie (12. 7. 1774 – 18. 1. 1841) was born in Dobroč, Čierny Balog. He came from an environment connected with the forest and forest work. He laid the foundations of rational forest management and significantly contributed to the preservation of Slovak forests. In the 19th century, wood in central Slovakia was the main building and energy material for the metallurgical industry. Its extraction and processing were an important source of livelihood for the population. J. D. Matejovie realized the catastrophic consequences of uncontrolled forest exploitation for nature and society and successfully changed the unsatisfactory practice of the time. From 1809, he experimented with forest regeneration. He established the first forest nurseries and seedbeds, and also prevented the creation of clear-cuts. To support the natural regeneration of the forest and the creation of mixed stands, he moved logging to other locations. He ensured further savings in wood material, for example, by utilizing waste from clearings. From 1838, under his leadership, almost four thousand hectares of clearings were reforested.

Obverse side:
On the obverse of the collector's euro coin, there is a circular cross-section of a tree trunk in composition with the silhouette of a coniferous tree and a seedling. To the right of the silhouette, between the growth rings, is the state emblem of the Slovak Republic, above which is the year 2024. The name of the state SLOVAKIA is inscribed on the right side of the coin field. The mark of the Kremnica Mint, a state enterprise, consisting of the abbreviation MK placed between two dies, and the stylized initials of the author of the reverse side of the collector's euro coin Mgr. art. Martin Sabol MS are at the roots of the seedling.

Reverse side:
On the reverse of the collector's euro coin, in the circular cross-section of the tree trunk, is placed the silhouette of part of a coniferous tree, next to which is the portrait of Jozef Dekret Matejovie. To the right of the portrait are the years of his birth and death 1774 and 1841, separated by a graphic mark. To the left of the silhouette, between the growth rings, in two lines, is the nominal value of the collector's euro coin 10 EURO. In the left part of the coin field is the inscription JOZEF DEKRET MATEJOVIE.
