Specification:
Ján Chryzostom Cardinal Korec (22. 1. 1924 – 24. 10. 2015) was born in Bošany. In 1939, he joined the Jesuit order. After the dissolution of religious orders and monasteries, he was forced to leave for civilian life. In 1950, he was secretly ordained a priest and in 1951 a bishop. However, he could not perform his episcopal service publicly, so he worked as a laborer throughout. For his religious activities among students, he spent several years in prison. In his wide range of works, he appeared as a great connoisseur of the human soul. He mainly created spiritual literature, but also works concerning the problems of religious life in Slovakia. In January 1990, he became the rector of the Seminary of St. Cyril and Methodius in Bratislava, and in February he was appointed the diocesan bishop of Nitra. On June 28, 1991, Pope John Paul II appointed him a cardinal. He is buried in the Basilica of St. Emeram at Nitra Castle.

Obverse:
The obverse of the collector's euro coin features a composition of hands clasped in prayer intertwined with a rosary, placed on an open book. In the background is a cross draped with a crown of thorns. At the bottom of the composition is a closed book and below it, in a ribbon, the inscription UT OMNES UNUM SINT, the cardinal's personal motto expressing the desire for the unification of all. To the left of the composition is the national emblem of the Slovak Republic. The name of the state SLOVAKIA and the year 2024 are inscribed in the upper part of the coin field. To the right of the composition is the nominal value 10 EURO in two lines, below it the mark of the Kremnica Mint, a state enterprise, consisting of the abbreviation MK placed between two dies and the stylized initials of the designer of the obverse of the collector's euro coin, Tomáš Lamač, DiS.

Reverse:
On the reverse of the collector's euro coin is a portrait of Ján Chryzostom Korec. The portrait is complemented on the left by the stylized initials of the designer of the reverse of the collector's euro coin, Mgr. art. Peter Valach PV. The inscription on the collector's euro coin reads from left to right the name JÁN CHRYZOSTOM KOREC, separated by a graphic mark from the years of his birth and death 1924 – 2015. A curve in the inscription separates the portrait from the inscription.
