Fráter Cyprián, born Franz Ignác Jäschke, was born on July 28, 1724, in the village of Polkowice (Silesia). He took his monastic vows at the Camaldolese monastery on Zobor near Nitra around 1753. From there, in 1756, he moved to Červený Kláštor, where he remained until his death in 1775. It is assumed that before joining the Camaldolese order, he lived in Italian monasteries, where he acquired botanical, floristic, and herbal knowledge. He expanded his medical knowledge in Wrocław. In Červený Kláštor, he served as a healer and manager of the monastery pharmacy. He treated not only his fellow monks but also people from the surrounding area. He established a monastery garden where he cultivated medicinal and ornamental plants and fruit trees. Based on contemporary medical books and his own experiences, he prepared medicines, ointments, and healing tinctures. Fráter Cyprián compiled a herbarium between 1766 and 1771, which is the oldest preserved herbarium from the territory of Slovakia. It is remarkable especially from the perspective of the history of botany, pharmacognosy, pharmacy, and medicine. It contains significant botanical evidence, interesting facts about contemporary medicine and pharmacy, as well as about the life of the Camaldolese monks in Červený Kláštor.

Obverse:
On the obverse of the collector's euro coin is a fictional portrait of Fráter Cyprián holding a straw basket with plants, complemented at the top by the construction of a flying machine and a flying eagle, and at the bottom by the year 2024. In the left part of the coin field is the state emblem of the Slovak Republic, above which is the nominal value designation 10 EURO in two lines. The name of the state SLOVAKIA is inscribed in the lower part of the coin field.

Reverse:

On the reverse of the collector's euro coin is a composition of a medicinal plant from Cyprián's herbarium, complemented on the right by part of the Červený Kláštor complex and the dominant part of the Pieniny – the Tri koruny peak. Above the composition are the birth and death years of Fráter Cyprián 1724 and 1775 in two lines. In the left part of the coin field are the stylized initials of the collector's euro coin author Mgr. art. Roman Lugár LR, and below them is the mark of the Kremnica Mint, a state enterprise, consisting of the abbreviation MK placed between two dies. To the left of them are the names ČERVENÝ KLÁŠTOR and FRÁTER CYPRIÁN inscribed in two lines.
