Specification:
Krista Bendová (1923 – 1988) is the author of humorous children's poetry and prose with a child's view of the world. She was one of the most prominent Slovak authors of modern post-war prose for children. Despite a certain value fluctuation, her works are timeless, as evidenced by their constant reissues and multilingual translations. The dominant features of her work gradually became humor and imagination. She drew themes from the everyday life of children, with the child hero becoming both a means and a measure of her lyrical expression. Bendová's iconic books "Bola raz jedna trieda" (Once Upon a Class), "Opice z našej police" (Monkeys from Our Shelf), and the series of continuing stories about Osmijanko belong to the golden fund of children's literature, where the author developed a style of modern parodic fairy tale.

Obverse:
On the obverse of the collector's euro coin, there are three monkeys on shelves with books, referring to Krista Bendová's work "Opice z našej police". The composition is complemented by the state emblem of the Slovak Republic on the left and the nominal value of the collector's euro coin "10 EURO" in two lines on the right. The name of the state "SLOVAKIA" and the year "2023" are inscribed at the top of the coin field. The stylized initials of the obverse side author of the collector's euro coin, Karol Ličko "KL", are in the center of the coin field.

Reverse:
On the reverse of the collector's euro coin is a portrait of Krista Bendová against a background complemented by an open book, into which a drawing referring to her work "Bola raz jedna trieda" is inserted. In the lower part of the coin field, the name and surname "KRISTA BENDOVÁ" are inscribed, followed by the years of her birth and death "1923 – 1988". Below the open book is the initial of the surname of the reverse side author of the collector's euro coin, Štefan Novotný "N", and next to it is the mark of the Kremnica Mint, a state enterprise, consisting of the abbreviation "MK" placed between two dies.
