Specification:
Andrej Sládkovič (31. 3. 1820 - 20. 4. 1872), born Braxatoris, was a significant Slovak romantic poet, literary critic, and translator, a representative of the Štúr generation. Among his poetic debuts is the philosophical-reflective poem Sôvety v rodine Dušanovej. One of the peaks of his work is the poetic composition Marína, which combines elements of love and reflective lyricism. Its text represents one of the most impressive works of Slovak poetry. With the lyrical-epic composition Detvan, Sládkovič fulfilled the contemporary demand for the creation of patriotically oriented poetry. This composition, along with Marína, represents the authentic peak of his poetic work. Sládkovič participated in organizing the Martin National Assembly (1861) and, as a founding member, also contributed to the establishment of Matica slovenská (1863). Through his organizational, literary-critical activities, and his own (especially occasional and patriotically oriented) creations, he continued to significantly influence the development of Slovak cultural life.

Obverse:
On the obverse of the collector's euro coin, there is a composition of flowers and the silhouette of a woman representing Andrej Sládkovič's muse – Marína. The state emblem of the Slovak Republic is on the right side of the composition. At the bottom of the coin field is the inscription of the state name SLOVAKIA followed by the year 2020. The designation of the nominal value 10 EURO is inscribed at the top of the coin field. To the left of the composition is the mark of the Kremnica Mint, a state enterprise, consisting of the abbreviation MK placed between two dies. To the right of the composition are the stylized initials of the collector's euro coin author Karol Ličko KL.

Reverse:
On the reverse of the collector's euro coin is a portrait of Andrej Sládkovič. Below the portrait is a facsimile of his signature. In the right part of the coin field are the dates of his birth and death, 1820 and 1872, in two lines. At the edge of the collector's euro coin is the inscription of the name and surname ANDREJ SLÁDKOVIČ.
