Michal Bosák (10. 12. 1869 – 18. 2. 1937) – American banker from Šariš – was among the most prominent representatives of the American Slovak community. After moving to America, he worked his way through various business activities to establish his own private bank, Michal Bosak Privat Bank, in the city of Olyphant. At the same time, he participated in building other banks and financial institutions in Pennsylvania. Alongside his business activities, he was involved in the national movement of American Slovaks and was also a signatory of the Pittsburgh Agreement. After the war and the establishment of Czechoslovakia, he visited the nationally liberated Slovakia several times and financially supported various projects. In 1920, he founded the American-Slovak Bank in Bratislava, which gradually opened 12 branches in Prague and other parts of Czechoslovakia. In Prešov, he had a representative headquarters built for the bank, still known today as Bosák's Bank.
Obverse side:
On the obverse of the collector's euro coin is depicted a banknote with a nominal value of 10 dollars signed by Michal Bosák. In the upper part, it is complemented by a fragment of the original Pittsburgh Agreement, of which Michal Bosák was a signatory, and Bosák's house in Prešov. The national emblem of the Slovak Republic is in the upper part of the coin field. The name of the state SLOVAKIA is in the lower part of the coin field. Below it is the year 2019. The designation of the nominal value of the collector's euro coin 10 EURO is in two lines at the right edge of the collector's euro coin. The mark of the Kremnica Mint, a state enterprise, consisting of the abbreviation MK placed between two dies, and the stylized initials of the author of the collector's euro coin Mgr. art. Roman Lugár LR are below the year.
Reverse side:
On the reverse of the collector's euro coin is depicted a portrait of Michal Bosák compositionally complemented by the building of Bosák's state bank in Scranton and its logo. In the lower part of the coin field is the name and surname MICHAL BOSÁK and below it the birth and death years 1869 – 1937.
