Specification
Adam František Kollár (15. 4. 1718 – 10. 7. 1783), scholar, polyglot, legal historian, and court counselor, was an exceptional figure in the scientific world known throughout Europe during his lifetime. After his studies, in 1748, he began working at the Court Library in Vienna, where he served as a scribe, custodian, head, and from 1774 its director with the rank of court counselor. He focused his work in the library on expanding its collections and cataloging them. He developed a four-volume systematic catalog of theological prints, completed, and published a list of manuscript codices. Thanks to his efforts, the Imperial-Royal Academy of Oriental Languages was established in Vienna in 1778. His philosophical and legal views are part of the Theresian Enlightenment. He was a personal advisor to Empress Maria Theresa on Hungarian historical-legal, property-legal, and educational matters. He also contributed to the development of educational reform.

Obverse:
On the obverse of the coin is depicted a part of a period library supplemented by the title of Adam František Kollár's scientific work Analecta monvmentorvm omnis aevi Vindobonensia (Vienna Collection of Documents of All Times). In the left part of the coin field is the state emblem of the Slovak Republic. At the top edge of the coin is the inscription of the state name "SLOVAKIA". At the bottom of the coin field is the year 2018. The designation of the coin's nominal value 10 EURO is inserted in two lines into the bottom part of the library. The mark of the Kremnica Mint MK and the stylized initials of the coin's design author akad. sculptor Zbyňek Fojtů ZF are among the books in the upper left part of the coin field.

Reverse:
On the reverse of the coin is a portrait of Adam František Kollár. To the left of the portrait are the names and surname "ADAM FRANTIŠEK KOLLÁR" and to the right of the portrait are the dates of his birth and death 1718 – 1783.
