Specification
The National Bank of Slovakia was established on January 1, 1993, following the division of Czechoslovakia, as the central bank of the Slovak Republic. Throughout its 20-year history, it has played a significant role in all major monetary and economic events of our country and has contributed to shaping its current position in the common European house. In the early years of its existence, the National Bank of Slovakia strived to ensure the stability of the new Slovak currency. The rapid monetary separation meant that the exchange of money through stamping was completed in a record time of four days, and the preparation and printing of new Slovak banknotes and minting of coins took only a few months. The NBS played an important role in the introduction of the euro. Several years before its introduction, it participated in meeting the economic and legal criteria necessary for its adoption. Since 2009, when the euro was adopted in Slovakia, the NBS has been part of the Eurosystem. Together with other central banks of the eurozone countries, it participates in the preparation of monetary policy decisions of the European Central Bank and is responsible for the implementation of monetary policy in Slovakia.

Obverse:
On the obverse of the coin, a stylized euro symbol € is depicted, complemented at the top of the coin field by a part of the globe and a part of the map of Europe, expressing the inclusion of the NBS in the Eurosystem. The euro symbol is complemented by a graph at the bottom. To the right of it are seven stars, and to the left of them is the national emblem of the Slovak Republic. The name of the state SLOVAKIA is inscribed along the right edge of the coin, and to the left of it is the year 2013. The stylized initials of the name and surname of the author of the obverse side of the coin, PhDr. Kliment Mitura KM, are placed under the graph.

Reverse:
On the reverse of the coin, the logo of the National Bank of Slovakia is depicted, complemented by a double cross and decorative elements in the background. At the top of the coin field is the inscription NATIONAL BANK OF SLOVAKIA. At the bottom edge of the coin is the designation of its nominal value 10 EURO. The years 1993 and 2013 are on both sides of the nominal value. The mark of the Kremnica Mint MK is placed between two dies, and the stylized initials of the name and surname of the author of the reverse side design, Mgr. art. Roman Lugár RL, are at the bottom of the coin field.
